Dynamic Snapping Guide (Methods) |
www.CAD6.com |
The Dynamic Snapping Guide allows to create, snap, and identify construction guides in between while executing other commands.
You can access the corresponding commands from the Construction menu or by pressing the appropriate key. On a standard English keyboard, that's the ` key in the upper left corner, below the ESC key. Use those commands to create lines, circles, ellipses, endless lines, circle arcs, and ellipse arcs that are only temporary.
Since the Dynamic Snapping Guide commands shall interrupt the running command only for a short term, all of those commands are only active for one execution and then the original command becomes active again. If you wish to create multiple Snapping Guides, you'll have to select the appropriate command for each individual one, even if it's always the same command.
When snapping, the Snapping Guides will be considered if at least one of the two intersection snapping modes is active. Snapping Guides can be identified for most commands as reference objects. When creating curves and surfaces, they can be used as outline elements.
The Snapping Guides are always temporary and will never be stored along with the drawing. You can choose when the Snapping Guides shall be deleted: Either after each point entered, when choosing a new command, or when opening / creating a new drawing.
The Undo command does not effect the Snapping Guide!
